I originally came to Bangkok with the intention of photographing Chinatown because of the recent interest I'd taken in the Chinese diaspora, but I was quickly distracted by the many other sights the city had to offer. While strolling the tourist-packed night market, however, I spotted a man cooking with a wok on the side of the road. I love photographing fire because of the way the leaping flames are captured on various cameras, and the way this turned out further fueled that obsession.
