Seattle was the first city that I had truly "lived alone" in for the first time outside of a university context. With my new friend I had met in my apartment, I attended Seattle's biggest event for Fourth of July, fireworks usually sponsored by some big tech company (this year's lucky contestant was Amazon). We laughed at the sheer amount of people lounging in the 90 degree heat for hours just to get a spot to see the fireworks. It was worth it, though.
