I took this picture during a time of liminality in my life, and I think this picture captures that in a different way than I was experiencing it, but still the idea of "in between." There's something very directive to the "frozen in time" idea, and so many things had to click into place for this photograph to be the way it is. The seagulls suspended in the sky, the little kid kneeling down to talk to his younger sister, and the mother watching them both.
