I started a real-adult-9-to-5 job not long after my trek in Peru. During the trek, the majority of Americans we met were actually from Colorado, which I thought was pretty hilarious as I was heading there next.
I enjoy the routine, and the daily bike commutes that come with it. I like the freedom that comes with a bike, which yes, you can get with a car, but there's some satisfaction of moving yourself distances.
I wondered if I'd get sick of the back and forth each day, but I haven't yet, and the view of the mountains never misses. It does get hot though.
